Thank you all who attended the first in-person IEOC meeting since 2019. Many attendees were happy to interact and visit with their fellow colleagues during the Symposium. The 2022 Symposium brought in 66 attendees and 6 representatives from four companies.

Dr. Catherine Nunnery, DVM, DACVO
Competition Horses with Ocular Disease, Ambulatory Equine Ophthalmology
Present scenarios when a competition horse needs medications to maintain ocular health. Discuss how different competition regulations require one or two eyes, and if vision is required.
Then present common conditions, old and new treatments, and odd cases. Ophthalmic surgery in the field with how to pointers, outcomes and complications will be discussed. Practical management of ocular conditions on the farm will be highlighted.
Dr. Stephen A. Schumacher, DVM, PhD
How to "See Eye to Eye" with Equine Drug & Medication Rules"
Dr. Schumacher has been involved with the United States Equestrian Federations Equine Drugs and Medications Program for the last 20 years serving as a testing technician and testing veterinarian, and has been the Chief Administrator of the Equine Drugs and Medications program since December of 2006. Dr. Schumacher has served as a member of the FEI Veterinary Committee, currently serves as a member of the FEI List Group, and was responsible for the Equine Drug Testing at the 2010 World Equestrian Games and assisted as the Integrity Advisor for the 2018 World Equestrian Games. Dr. Schumacher received his bachelor degree from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and PhD from The Ohio State University.
